Faithful

The members of the Fire Service Lodge are spread over a wide area of The United Kingdom and are truly faithful to the Lodge, exemplified by the considerable number of members who attend each meeting.

This undoubtedly reflects on the members being part of a very disciplined and dedicated service where both requirements are among the first requisites of being a good Fireman and a good Freemason.

The other most important object of our meetings is the raising of Charity.

Freemasonry is the United Kingdoms largest non-religious charitable organisation.

The Lodge is a Patron of the Royal Masonic Trust for Girls and Boys.

Grand Patron of the Royal Masonic Hospital

Patron of the Royal Masonic Benevolent Institution, all of which shows that the Lodge and our predecessors have met their obligation to Charity.

We are now active in meeting a new challenge to raise £3 million for the Provincial 2012 Festival in aid of The New Masonic Samaritan Fund.

The Lodge is confident we will meet our portion of this target.

The Fire Service Lodge is open to all members of the Fire Service - including civil aviation, private and military personnel and those working in associated industries.

Lodge members also attend in abundance The Ladies Festival which is the major Social event of each year.

This event is the occasion when we express our gratitude to our Ladies by inviting them to a Gala Dinner and Dance.

It takes place each year on the second Saturday in October and follows the previous days Lodge meeting.

Many members make it a full weekend by staying in a local hotel from Friday evening until Sunday.

The members and Masonic guests attend the Lodge meeting on the Friday evening .

Saturday daytime allows us to visit any of the numerous local places of interest in and around Stratford-upon-Avon .

The Ladies Festival Dinner & Dance is the social highlight of the year ; the evening is spent in delightful company, an excellent meal and pleasant dance music.

A raffle is organised at which we endeavour to improve our donations to Charity.

After breakfast on Sunday morning everyone departs in different directions having had a most pleasant weekend.
