1914 - 2007

The Lodge is sad to announce the death of one of its founder members.

Worshipful Brother Albert passed away peacefully in his sleep on Friday 28th December 2007.

He was one of the 2 surviving “Founding Fathers” of Fire Service Lodge.

His Commemoration Service was held at Cannon Hill Road Crematorium on Thursday 10th January, 2008 and was attended by a large congregation from all walks of life that Albert graced with his presence and involvement.

It was a truly fitting date for the Service as it was on this exact date that the Fire Service Lodge No. 8401 was Consecrated and came into being in 1972.

Also in attendance at the Service were Firefighters from Coventry Fire Station who acted as Pall Bearers and The Colour Party and Banner from Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service, where Albert had previously served.
